This is my mood board, it consists of alot dark images of ghosts, and grieving pictures. These kind of pictures represent my character's emotions, the picture of the two trees sort of represent my character (Dhylan Patel) and Ainsley (Tyler Johnson) standing by each other. All the ghost images represent when Tyler haunts Dhylan without him knowing. The pictures with the lonely person sitting alone is a image of my character reminisching his fun time he had with Tyler. The image shows the person all alone, which is what my character goes through: isolation.

"Identity" Opening Scene

I watched the opening scene of 'Identity' on my Sky+, i made notes on various cinematic techniques. While watchin the movie, i made note on how the lighting and colour was very dark. There was only chiaroscuro lighting (the candle is lighting the very dimmly lit room).
The camera pans very slowly, especially over as it pans over the newspaper articles, pictures and the mugshot of the "Malcolm" character.
The framing is very tight, alot of objects are put into the frame, i.e newspapers, notepad, photographs and pens.
The editing is very slow cut, it gives the time for the audience to look at the framing of the shot and get a detailed image of the mugshots and pictures. However it quickens as it gets over the newspaper cut outs and the investigation files.
The sound played through out is the tape played of the interview with "Malcolm" and the Invesigator. There is also diegetic sound of thunder and rain in the background.
The mise-en-scene used through out the opening scene are mostly the various photographs of brutally murdered victims, there is a mugshot of "Malcolm", there are alot of files linked to the investigation, alot of fingerprints on a file....

Loaction

One of our locations is at a cemetry. This is at Streatham Cemetry (taken from google images), my character would be putting the boquet/flowers on his best friends gravestone. Im not 100% sure whether we are going to be using this exact location. We may change it but however right now we are thinking of using this as our location.

Random Ideas

I saw a man on the bus on Saturday while i was  on my way home with my friend, he was in an all  black suit and a dark grey jacket with a single red rose in his hand. It was quite a warm day that day and i asked my "why is he wearing a jacket for", my friend could not answer my question.
I said to myself in my mind that most people wear black in a funeral and carry a single rose to put on the gravestone og their loved one.
If anyone from my group is reading this than maybe we could dress up my character in the same attire so he looks as if he is serious about his best friends death.

One of our location

We will be filming one of our scenes in a train station, i have imported this image from google, it is an image of victoria train station in london. We are thinking of doing at Balham or Wandsworth train station.
It would be that my character is going to put the flowers on his best friends grave. My character would be dressed all smart with a boquet of flowers to put on his grave.

In our group we done our preliminary task today, it went rather well.
I think we mastered the 18- degrees rule, shot reverse shot, and match-on-action shot rather well.
Im looking forward tommorow's lesson were we edit our shoten footage.

The idead so far for my group is the begging of a pshycological thriller in which 2 best friends that grow up together and were very tight and 1 of the friends dies in a traggic death (our group have not decided the cause of death).
The other best-friend (that is played by me) still goes to put flowers on his grave every night or every year (undecided), it turns out that my character is hit very hard by the loss of his best friend, he starts seeing his friends in placec.
This is what we have come up so far as our backbone of the story, there might be sligh changes as we progress through the coursework... thank you for taking the time to read this blog...
